Dr. Derrick Vaughn – Assistant Professor in the Geosciences Department
I am a new Assistant Professor at Utah State University in the Geosciences Department! My research interests revolve around carbon cycling along the land-to-sea continuum, looking at the impacts of climate change and anthropogenic impacts. Research in my lab will includes examining carbon reservoirs and the movement of carbon between these reservoirs (i.e. carbon fluxes). Look at the Research Tab for more information about my interests and current projects.

Graduate Students – I’m looking for graduate students to join my lab! If you’re interested, shoot me an email at derrick.vaughn@usu.edu.
